Lincoln LS, Aviator, 2000-06 Navigator, 2005, Town Car

To reset CHANGE OIL SOON/OIL CHANGE REQUIRED message on the Message Center, press the STATUS control to access the System Check mode. Press RESET button to display “OIL LIFE _% RESET FOR NEW”. Press and hold RESET button until “OIL LIFE IS 100%” is displayed.

Lincoln Mark VIII, 1993-97

When “CHANGE OIL SOON” or “OIL CHANGE REQUIRED” is displayed on Message Center, turn ignition on. Press and hold OIL CHANGE RESET or RESET button until OIL LIFE RESET TO 100% is displayed on Message Center.

Lincoln Continental, 1989-94

When “SERVICE” is illuminated on Message Center, press the SYSTEM CHECK (A) button on the right of the display. Then press the RESET (B) button. The “SERViCE” symbol and mileage will start to flash. Next, press SYSTEM CHECK (A) and RESET (B) buttons at the same time. The display will show “7200 miles/i 1,580 km” and will count down from there as long as the buttons are depressed. Release the buttons at the mileage you want the customer to observe for service.

Lincoln Continental, 1988

When “SERVICE DUE” is illuminated on Message Center, press the CHECK OUT (A) button located below the display. Then press the RESET (B) button. The display should now read “SERVICE DONE?” Next, press the CHECK OUT (A) and RESET (B) buttons at the same time. The display will show “7200 miles/i 1,580 km” and will count down as long as the buttons are depressed. Release buttons at the mileage you want the customer to observe for the next service.
